Nicole Barr, which wholesales in both America and Europe, has added new designs to their enamel cufflink collection in sterling silver.
The word from London is that, “Although men often skip the tie, they still want to be seen with a smart pair of cufflinks,” said Martha Nelson, who represents Nicole Barr in the UK.
“Our jewelers are selling classic blue enamels as well as novelty styles. It’s a bit of fun for the guys and often hits the mark for men’s gifts.”
For Father’s Day and wedding season, Nicole Barr offers high quality themed cufflinks like fishing, race cars or trains – and classic designs in harlequin and art deco patterns -- available with traditional hard-fired enamel on sterling silver, finished with rhodium plate for easy care. MSRP from $210.
Many of the 100 designs are accented with diamonds and gemstones to complement the enamel color.
An 18 K gold cufflink range is also available to order with custom colors.
Nicole Barr specializes in enamel techniques made famous by artists like Lalique and Faberge. The liquid enamel is fired at temperatures of up to 1640 degrees Fahrenheit. Each color requires a different firing temperature, and the enamel itself starts as a ground glass powder made with specific blends of rare metals, such as gold, cobalt and manganese.
